WEIRD SCENES INSIDE THE GOLD MINE, as a double-LP released early in 1972, was after the 1970 Jim Morrison was still alive published 13 for the second compilation album by the Doors. WEIRD SCENES INSIDE THE GOLD MINE undoubtedly has cult status, although some classic Doors and single hits like Light My Fire / People Are Strange / HELLO, I LOVE YOU TOUCH ME or missing, all of whom were already listening to 13. High time that it is now for the first time officially on CD is this double album! Somewhat sparce, the booklet does not offer more than the outer and inner sides of the original LP-hinged album in CD format, but due to the new remasters of Bruce Botnick in truly outstanding sound quality. Bruce Botnick has thereby resorting to the original master, not to the newer remixes that have been produced for the 2007 re-released six studio albums by The Doors with Jim Morrison. Better sound, the Doors mE only on the by Analogue Productions in 2012 published as SACDs six studio albums the Doors and in the years ago, produced by Steve Hoffman Remasters for DCC, for example, or THE DOORS LA Woman. Special icing are the two songs WHO SCARED YOU and (YOU NEED MEAT) DO NOT GO NO FURTHER, two former single B-sides, and now for the first time based on the remastered Original Masters.
Maybe you could take the opportunity now and the above mentioned compilation album 13 may publish on CD for the first time. The 22 tracks of WEIRD SCENES INSIDE THE GOLD MINE along with the "13" songs Light My Fire / People Are Strange / BACK DOOR MAN / MOONLIGHT DRIVE / THE CRYSTAL SHIP / Roadhouse Blues / TOUCH ME / LOVE ME TWO TIMES / YOU'RE LOST LITTLE GIRL / HELLO, I LOVE YOU / LAND HO! / WILDCHILD / THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER would a truly representative showcase of the Doors with probably all important songs!
