Recorded in October 1974 and published in January 1975, "The first time" the debut album of Westlife. And already on the first-there are great lyrics paired with catchy melodies and arrangements, so it is actually surprising that it is then flopped. Of course, that's not so bold and snappy as from "All alone I get's no way" and mostly shines even more the songwriter through here as the rock singer. But taken as a whole this is quite decent music. And with "Taxi man" is here already an immortal classic present, standing in a row with songs like "Sexy", "Lady Killer", with 18 "etc ... And the other songs is quite successful. The beautiful "We were still children" or the groovy "Marion from Pinneberg" little classics are now after all these years already become. And the rest of the album after all, does not disappoint, but can not quite keep up with exactly the large plates from "peppermint" as the 2 successor. Good 4 stars for a good debut.
