The positives first: Cheryl Studer is one of the few Senta that do not sound like a siren and knows how to make her role well, Peter Seiffert (whose signature role in Dutch actually the Erik's) convincing as a helmsman. That was it but also already in commendable ... Sinopolis baton seems quite bumpy and not very exciting, Hans Sotin (Daland) sold yourself short, Mr. Domingo (Erik) organized a bel canto recital with little interest in text and action, and - as already mentioned by previous speakers - Bernd Weikl had probably little desire to sing a decent Dutchman - phased scars he really narrowly on a parody of the role over! The only reason Meet term, to deal with this recording, I think is Cheryl Studer's Senta, which is superior to some other interpreters of, but ultimately can not justify the price the rich. Since there are plenty of much better and thereby also much cheaper recordings (Böhm, Steinberg, Konwitschny etc.).
