As a child I used to Spend my Summer Holidays in Edinburgh. I Was put on the train at Kings Cross by my Mum or Dad and Collected at Edinburgh Waverley by my Uncle. Under "bread of death" I Was Told not to leave my reserved seat except for the usual calls of nature !! There Was much to see on the way north Including the process of Eyemouth Branch headed by only one coach has at J39 Either Berwick-upon-Tweed Burnmouth gold. I Was always fascinated by this process, the railway aim sadly closed before I Could travel on it. I did get to by bus Eyemouth ounce and Took a photo of a rail freight heading for the East Coast Main Line (ECML). The other instead That caught my eye Was East Fortune. My first ever flight was Was Vanguard o Edinburgh. At the time the runway at Turnhouse Airport in Edinburgh Was not robust enough for the extra weight of Vanguards and so RAF East Fortune Airfield ex Was turned into a temporary airport. This is an great book For Those Who remember the ECML in Scotland from the 1960's !! Recommended !!
