The operation of the device works via three buttons and I almost self-explanatory. The charging current for cylindrical cells can be set to 1A or 2A - for my taste are 1A quite a bit but since the unit actively cools, you can easily work with such streams.
The bipartite blue display provides information at your fingertips over voltage, charging current and capacity of each battery. The adapter for LiIo / LiPo batteries is initially a little hard to adjust - but it has managed to also LiIo / LiPo batteries can upload / cyceln. Although LiIo batteries have almost no memory effect I want to know how much capacity is get out after a full charge of the battery. Included Chargers (Camera Battery Chargers) indicate only div battery stands -. However, you never know how good the battery is actually still. Thanks to the XC3000 which is now no longer an issue.
In operation only with LiIo battery, the device is quiet and inviting with a variable charge current until the final charge. Once you insert cylindrical cells, start the fan of the machine and, unfortunately, that's more than clearly audible. In addition, for me the power of the unit will beep extremely high frequency - albeit very quietly. Last but not least - the XC3000 is huge. Who knows, for example, the batch manager of Conrad Electronics, which gets an even bigger machine here. I was this size before really unaware and more surprised I was after I had unpacked the unit.
Also on "board" is a battery tester, which can be used just about every available test battery. Unfortunately the results are not really consistent because you get no less than 3 different percentage values displayed in 3 measurements. The lie, however close together, so that you can evaluate in the middle well, where the capacity of the battery / battery still is.
If you want to upload 9V block which must remove the previously mounted LiIo charging clip. Then leave to the free slot 2 9V blocks load. Thus most classic battery types to be loaded by this device. Exemplary!
Conclusion
The XC3000 is a really big multifunction charger with single channel control and active cooling for the charge of cylindrical cells (NiCd, NiMH). In addition, LiIo / LiPo batteries can be loaded with variable loading tongs. The display informs about all important operating states of the respective batteries and the battery tester met largely his duties. The device is produced from aluminum and plastic - unfortunately the 3 control buttons are obviously of inferior quality. Sometimes you have to press a button repeatedly until the handover of the display takes place. A pity - something must not happen in an otherwise so-grade charger easily. Nevertheless, the device is really a real all-rounder and met my needs perfectly charging.
