DEAD HEAT is now the fourth part of the ALPHA AND OMEGA series and Patricia Briggs shows once again what they can. Charles and Anna evolve continuously and their relationship makes one step forward. In particular, Anna employs the very difficult topic of werewolves own children and she and Charles try in the course of the book to find a satisfactory solution. Very interesting is also the sympathetic family Sani, who has a troubled past with Charles. In this context, we get some interesting insights into Charles history and also its relationship with the individual family members that I liked. The other secondary characters very beautiful and three-dimensionally drawn and have convinced me completely.
The plot of Dead Heat is used to gripping and atmospheric. The investigations into the identity of the Fae and the development of personal relationships of the characters talk about the scale and both storylines are exciting and beautifully staged. The theme of the transience of life plays a significant role in the book and especially Charles has to deal with it.
All in all, my dead heat very much and I'm really looking forward to more books in the series. Very highly recommended!
