Had it 1: 1 to be copied, this game "Budokai Tenkaichi 3 HD" would have made to feel, but Spike tried consciously something else, with success in my opinion!
But let's start at the beginning:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~ ~~ Pro's
* Graphics - The graphics are truly breathtaking. The textures and character models are sharp, well staged effects and it acts like a total 3D Anime that have become
* Sound - The Sound know as little shortcomings. Sound effects are consistent and fit, the DBZ-typical music brings a spectrum closer to the action and the speakers deliver a top performance from. One case has the choice between English and Japanese voices. Merely the fact that some cut scenes from "Raging Blast" are recycled and thus have some Syncronisationen over other speakers is striking here. However, this does not interfere too much.
* Gameplay - Here are the ghosts. Some love it, some hate it. I can only repeat: "Ultimate Tenkaichi" is NOT "Budokai Tenkaichi"
The fact that a Combo has a 50/50 chance of Konters Personally I like well. So the fighting remain open and there are more surprises. No one is really "Overpowering".
On top of that, provided the necessary Ki-management, special moves blocked (weakened), dodged, or can be countered with its own move. The latter is attributable to a so-called. "Clash", which determined by Button Mashing the winner. All in all one can say that the gameplay but in turn is different from a lot of fun.
* Atmosphere - Spike has upped their game. And it shows! All previous points come together here. Cinematic camera angles, facial expressions, gestures and the familiar DBZ Action create an atmosphere that memories can come up to the good old days. As if you were in the middle. Such power density can provide himself "Budokai Tenkaichi 3" NOT!
* Environmental Destruction - actually a part of the gameplay, it must be specially emphasized here! Each death spiral, each Kamehameha, in short: Every Special Move has destroyed the environment which might arise. Be it a hole through a Genki Dama or a pit by a Kamehameha. Here, the destruction runs from phyiskalisch correctly. The type of destruction is dependent on the angle of incidence and related factors. The fact that you can throw opponents through mountain ranges and can destroy so maketh a true connoisseur. Dragon Ball was in fact always been known for its sometimes Overdone effects. What again brings extra points is the fact that each crater remains. So the battlefield becomes more and more a witness of the fight. If the Cell Games Arena transformed more and more into a crater landscape, which, of course, flaying impression! Ultimately, the ridge of the destruction by a mile is better than "Budokai Tenkaichi 3," said the demolitions Level (mountains, houses) are identical, but the landscape destruction catapulted this in completely different dimensions!
~~ ~~ Con's
To change * Low on own character
* Occasional voice actor change
* Freeroam in story mode sometimes confusing
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another important part of course is the STORY:
As always, from Raditz's arrival on Earth (Prolog Freezer GGN Bardock incl.) To the GT Saga everything with it. The Freeroam system here is not really emphasized because there is not much to discover. The story comes in, damn slow scrolling text boxes, which is pretty bleak. But those who know the story, this may click away bravely. These come from the Ă…nimen taken cutscenes, which initiate the fighting. This brings wiederrum extra points!
The "Hero Mode" takes place analogously. Only in a parallel universe with a self-created Sayajin. Here, the variation possibilities are truly Mau.
The battle mode, where you can play against friends makes the game of course. Here you can all throw around the ears of kicks to Ki-explosions. Here, the game combines optimal action packed fight with strategic elements, if it for example. Comes to the Ki-management. Fires are for example too many explosions from Ki, you are delivered an eventual Kamehameha defenseless!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All in all it can be said that "Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi" is a game that is fun. It brings the atmosphere of the anime in crystal clear graphics
in the domestic realm. It combines tactics with action and makes it fun. That is beyond question. Everyone thinks it with "Budokai Tenkaichi 3" have to compare the game does wrong. There is no direct comparison. It's different, but no less fun.
However, it remains to decide the already "Budokai Tenkaichi 3 'has, whether" Ultimate Tenkaichi "worth for each self. The graph would be an argument that the atmosphere a second, but no review of this world can answer this question a lump sum.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Graphics: 10/10 - The best there is on Dragon Ball on the market
Sound: 8/10 - turn-taking in some cutscenes nerve related.
Control: 9/10 - Does minimal familiarization period. Tutorial very understandable. After that, everything goes easy on the hand.
Atmosphere: 10/10 just WOW!
Gameplay: 9/10 Spike dares something new and lays a good foundation!
Overall: 9.5 / 10
I recommend this game to anyone who is Dragon Ball fan, knows the background story and so far no member has bedingunslos.
But who has the choice has to consider seriously whether where the priorities lie for him. The fight "Ultimate Tenkaichi" vs. "Budokai Tenkaichi 3" is not a lump sum to decide! Furthermore: "Haters Gonna Hate" and a transition in the video store of your trust can take the final uncertainty. Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi is just a game that everyone receives different!
