The multiplayer is only playable via LAN. Via the Internet is only about every 10th game ever to start. This is due to connection problems. If but a game comes, chances are great that another connection problem brings the program to crash after a few minutes.
However, if you have someone with whom you can gamble over the Internet, you will discover a fantastic strategy game. Fantastic, not because it has the complexity and genius of Age of Empires. What's BFME2 makes its atmosphere. No game could represent previously so intense and unpredictable battles so believable. The player has the feeling to fight side by side with the heroes and units to suffer and to conquer. This Middle-earth is by no means a virtual world; it is not made of polygons and pixels, but from the emotions of the players.
I never thought that I would one day Recommend a game that before errors are teeming. But BFME2 can offer me what other strategy games can not: real adventures. So if you often play over Lan, who should be able to afford to miss this game.
