For installation on the wall:
Not as great as the previous camera, in which the harness could be fully accommodated in the hollow foot.
Here you have a 20 cm long cable harness (J45 + low power) and now where to put it?
To stem a corresponding recess in the wall, seems hardly feasible due to the small mounting plate.
A modified relining (eg a wooden plate with cavity on which the camera is attached) seems visually unfavorable, although this would have advantages.
So standard solution - wiring harness out of the notch out out at the mounting plate. Well, since the wiring harness depends now - beautifully visible and exposed to the elements.
Connection to the LAN cable:
Attention, lack of space in the weather protection for the RJ45 connection! I mean, if the connection patch cord at the plug has a kink protection, the compound no longer get under the weather protection. Since my superficial anyway by leaving no male, I had to be crimped anyway. I then got the kink omitted from the camera end and such executed only makes the switch.
************** Much better it would be, were it not for this harness or optional would infect. In my case, I would not need this, and instead simply plug in my LAN cable directly to the camera in the foot. So a completely invisible installation would be possible. ***************
Connection to the PC, connect to the network:
Here I do not want to write a lot. This has everything - including firmware update - somehow worked. I had quickly the image of the camera on my PC. And can now be controlled quickly with IE and a fixed IP address the camera.
to the picture:
The viewing angle of the camera made me - as well as the image quality - surprised. It is quite large and I like that. The entire garage forecourt including entrance is now visible. This is probably only possible if one distorts the geometry slightly. I mean, are at the edges to just "things" shown slightly curved. But does not bother me. Image quality is surprisingly good for the price.
When night picture the infrared illumination focused on the center of the picture, everything else is too dark in itself. This wide viewing angle a full illumination is also not to be expected. The dilemma is that my door is not in the "infrared light cone", but in the border area. Would I Align the camera so that the door would be in focus, a) would probably not admire the half of the picture, the "boring" house wall and b) the garage forecourt in its full size.
There are basically three resolutions set, twice in the two smaller 16: 9, and the Great 2048 * 1536 (4: 3). Interestingly, the 4: 3 resolution expands the image up and down, side trims. In presenting the results to me (I have a 16: 10-Monitor) always false image geometry because no black bars are used for masking, the image always fills the whole screen. Not quite perfect, I would say, but I watch also no movie. To that extent ..., same problem even when zooming using a square reared.
Operate the camera via the web interface and a PC (no NAS):
Absolutely necessary is the IE. I have not yet managed to create a record or a snapshot. Why not go something primitive and why is that so hard to set up. But I do not concern myself with it at present because I'm waiting for the new NAS. My "old" Synology DS can not embed the camera, because the current software of the Surveillance Station on stops running.

In itself, no problems.
Because of night vision, so I sent the infrared off permanently! Be sure to also try!
My situation is that the outside light is always muted lights (at the door) and boots at approximation of people to 100%.
The camera I have the exposure (adjusted 1/30) asked for more, now time to 1/3. That's enough of the camera in order to produce usable images even in dim light outside. At 100%, the outside light is not to be expected and then in color.
I have also tested the combination infrared LED and 1/3 of exposure, also here better pictures, the aforementioned light cone (from the LED's) no longer interferes then actually.
Let's see how the longer exposure impact on the day-images.
