The key to the soul

Rarely one can see the maturing career of a composer so much as with Vangelis. It seems like all the previous works served only one purpose: the creation of Mytthodea.
Mythodea contains significant elements of El Greco, but stands out from it by a less gloomy style from. Elements from earlier works can not be found under circumstances when a first hearing. But they are omnispräsent; only in more mature form. One only needs to listen carefully to the earlier work Voices.
The handwriting of Vangelis is unmistakable. The soulful and playful use of colors is his trademark. It seems as if he had the notes taken down from heaven, and now bring them directly into the souls of men.
