2. To become an architect, to my knowledge, one can choose from two distinct pathways namely applied sciences (lingénierie) or the fine arts.
Obviously we are dealing here with a fine arts orientation.
In short i realized that the language or concepts elements exposed intended to provide the basis from which the objects built or designed by architect despite their generally utilitarian and technical character can become philosophical or poetic objects, that is to say creations intellectual or artistic.
Jai also understood that the architect nexerce not a job simpler he fact that should provide an original creation while being held by strong constraints on hardware environment, cultural and legal, technical requirements, price and customer requirements.
I think interesting to recount here the experience positive that i had in using this experience as an architect illustrates architecture of the mind such that it appears after reading louvrage commented here:
We built living side garden of a house extension. To this effect the architect has designed and realized, this stay with a concave glass facade to the outside (and therefore convex to the inside) that he explained to us, saying, "unlike the usual patterns, it is not the house enters the garden, but it's the garden into the house. "
Actually this is not the argument that convinced us but the originality of the design.
Well we use this room for over 15 years and we are well satisfied and she admiration of our visitors.
I do not know if the fact that "the garden into the house" participates in our satisfaction, and if our architect was sincere with this statement but I understand that he has used the philosophical or poetic language of architecture unless it is simply marketing language
3. Each chapter (concept) is exposed in a clear and understandable way for the layman and is supplemented by explanations and illustrations which by cons are not always understood me. Dailleurs illustrations are generally too small (to my taste) to quon can enjoy them.
But, again, this book is not for the simple guy I am.
4. In conclusion this book allowed me to better understand the mind of the architect of today, but, as the announcement the editor, you need a minimum knowledge base for lapprécier at fair value.
