I have the LivingColors received as a gift in the summer of 2008 because I have fun at the individual light and colors. So I have, for example fluorescent tubes under the sofas and colored light bulbs in a floor lamp. I say so because already this includes a degree of enthusiasm for something, if you want to buy the lamp and with a clear conscience as much money will pay for it, because that's - like almost everywhere mentioned - a whole lot. Because the fluorescent tubes were much cheaper :) The points such as size, shape and functions through the Amazon.com - Product declared sufficient. The really interesting points in my opinion:
Luminosity, different models of installation
For luminosity, I can say that they quite sufficient for (Kuschel-) corner of the room, such as the bed-corner, this one can also liked to use a little candle or a similarly strong lighting.
I have with me in 2 corners of the room (on two white varnish (- tables> IKEA)) are what, the room is approximately 30 QM2 large. That is ok, I think. Who should buy more than one lamp in mind that the intensity not easily doubled (I had initially honestly as pictured), which does not come out, 2 equal to loud noises which sounded simultaneously finally do not worry for a twice as loud sound. But the light is already more & more intensive. This brings me directly to the next point:
different models:
Philips has launched in 2008 a "successor" to the market. However, it is virtually impossible to distinguish this from the first, if you buy it. The packages are as far as I can tell identical. At Amazon.com they are named according to happiness, but in the famous electric discounters you might as well flip a coin. I thus had 2 different models, can I go into the differences here: It is striking, when both are in operation and they have been the same in view that the green and yellow tones are slightly different. But the biggest difference is the color sequence. While the first model run almost like in the Techno-Disco went through (which is at a party at home is not bad) runs it with the new model very relaxed in about half the speed by. I find the new much more pleasant. The driving multiple models with a remote control is quite good, sometimes one does not immediately join in, which means you have then again press the color. Not a big deal.
Installation site:
Like many previous entries already betrayed, this is a real sticking point here. The Living Colors definitely need white surface, it can illuminate for about 30-90 cm. Otherwise, really does not make much sense. Perhaps a tip: my third lamp in the bedroom on the wardrobe, she radiates from there with about 60 cm distance to the white ceiling, so that the light can spread really good here, the area is about 18 QM2 large.
My conclusion:
Expensive & could shine brighter. But looks for it really good (especially with white environment). Man must have a passion for such shenanigans. If you have but one can order without hesitation, I find.
