Zuächst: I do not think that Slash, nor any need to prove anything to anyone. And certainly not in the direction of Axl or the current GNR troops. What thence came the music after all these years, is well known. There you still ride mainly on the old GNR wave ... until one goes down with it. From the "Master" came as yet so much more, that will leave his mark in the history of RnR. Otherwise, it must be observed: the genius of old GnR consisted simply of a unique and unrepeatable combination of thoroughbred musicians ... Slash, Axl, Izzy and Duff .... it will be as well not come back.. What percentage of Slash was because he has shown in recent years ... naja..und Axl probably also: -) .... To Album: an outstanding rock album in which Slash heard after the first appears to be a little less prominent. But is that really so? I had to listen to the album 2-3 times until I could speak "include" it musically in its entirety. Only then revealed to me his whole class. I had reminded of another album in the past "Piece sells, but who's buying" by Megadeth, I only so did not want to add them to me .... after repeated listening, however, "I understood" .... and the disc ran continuously for this time ... are not the best albums? Now, with this Slash album I felt at least like that .... it gets better with each passing day, so to speak .... usually one is used to the songs of Slash go directly to the Twelve ... the new album is here something playful, perhaps less directly .... first, as I said ... here are a few comments on each title .... It begins with a real bang, but the immediately goes directly into the blood "World in Fire" ... it would not surprise me if this song would include the rock guitar riff of the year (as with Slither time) .... there are two titles that reveal rather only at second glance, the manuscript of Slash .... va in the Rhythm parts, because the solos are worden..für used more sparingly my taste anyway .... different turn with "Wicked Stone" nachlegt guitar standard in the Slash and his entire class shows ... and not too tight ..... with "Bent to fly" is followed by a wonderfully soulful song that conveys a goosebumps .... absolutely beautiful chorus that no longer wants to go out of your ears ... there follows a further (more than) solid rock with a bluesy touch in "Stone Blind" .... followed by "Too Far Gone" with metallartigem basic riff, rocking out the nice ... outstanding for me again "Withered Delilah" .... simply cool riff as only may be Slash .... "Dirty Girl" reminds me guitar moderately from Rythm her something to Aerosmith .... fresh electric guitar sound again at "the dissident" with a gorgeous singing Les Pauls ... "Safari Inn" a Instrumental with a league of its own ... here Slash again shows his skills .... I'm looking forward already, live to hear the instrumental and I'm already on the brilliant improvisation, you would expect this, excited ... Slash is just one of the best improvisational rock guitarist who has ever seen the world ........ the end then with "The Unholy" ... a strong, memorable, powerful song with a great chorus and dark, mystical electric guitar .... All in all therefore a great album, but that can recognize the handwriting of Slash partially (!) rather only at a second glance, especially in the (few) songs in which the Soli's not quite as pronounced are ... the more you hear it, the sooner you can find it but the champion again .... I would give 4.5 stars ... because this is not possible: five
