Blizzard of Ozz (Expanded Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Finally Blizzard of Ozz original Remasterd appear on CD, with the original bass and drum tracks of Bob and Lee Kerslake Daisley. In addition still there three nice bonus tracks. But from the beginning: This album is certainly one of the best of the genre. It starts with the riff monster 'I dont know' that acts on many Ozzy gigs as an opener, here shines the whole group vornweg Bob Daisley on bass. Following is the absolute classic 'Crazy Train', with probably the best reef of Randy Rhoads, the first shows in the guitar solo his genius. Then there to durchschnaufen with 'Goodbye to Romance' a ballad. It is also the first song Ozzy wrote with Randy, it's about Ozzy's Farewell at Sabbath and is another great moment of the album. The next two songs are the Randy Rhoads acoustic instrumental 'Dee', dedicated to his mother Dolores, and 'Suicide Solution', that deals with Bon Scott's death and Ozzy's own alcohol abuse and probably the best vocal performance adduced on the album and otherwise the other songs in no way inferior. Then comes the gloomy 'Mr.Crowley', an absolute classic, with probably the best guitar solo that Randy has ever recorded. With 'No Bone Movies' follows the only song on the album, which drops something and not quite convinced. But that does not interfere with long, because with 'Revelation (Mother Earth)' follows the absolute hammer. The socio-critical text harmonizes peferkt with dramatic music. A classic piano solo in this song a ringing the great guitar finale of Randy. The bouncers 'Steal Away (The Night)' is a super song, which presents a great pace, and the album is a grandiose finale. This is followed by three bonus songs: 'You looking at me, looking at you' is a song of the album is not managed, the song is not convincing at full length but also is very nice to listen to, especially the guitar solo anyway. Then comes 'Goodbye to Romance' remixed with vocal and guitar tracks, here the ingenious guitar work is even more effective than the original song. 'RR' is a studio fireworks of Randy and a great tribute to one of the best guitarists of all time.

Conclusion: This album everyone should have in his collection. It is the absolute masterpiece of Ozzy, who without Messrs Ward, Butler and Iommi makes music for the first time and this is very relieved. The great band and Ozzy make this album immortal.
