What if ... this band, TV series (Vikings) would not such Pushed by television appearances in boxing matches, TV advertising? Presumably, they would perish, like many other good bands also. But here ends my thought process, because they get so this opportunity! And rightly so! What kind of music !!! I hear it up since 2 weeks and down. The typical, actually Scandinavian, symphonic rock with built in typical female vocals, coupled with a few shouts - these being here pleasantly rare. No singer, her vocal range has to shout into the microphone, but one that shows its strengths especially in the ballad-like songs "Unbroken" as the Motörhead Cover "love me forever" and. And no, which puts too much emphasis on their doubt over existing good Optiik.
The album does not have any weaknesses in my view, is varied and autentisch. Playing tips are (of course) the bombastic "Songs of Love and Death", "in the shadows", the surprising "sing halleluljah", the epic "When Angels Fall" and "running to the edge".
Beyond The Black will not make it easy Nightwish. Blades Nightwish often too pompous, too overloaded with diverse sounds and breaks, BTB are much straighter. Another parallel is for me (some readers will be surprised), the American band "We Are The Fallen".
I look forward animal on concert in Munich. Probably the last time that you can admire this band in such a small club. Probably soon a very big band ...
