On the previous album "heart and soul" loved the fact that it contained no songs about elves, fairies and goblins and Schandmaul had arrived in the real world to me. Now it's yet again to the Otherworld. The album opens with the rock song "Free", in which it comes to an escaped prisoner of war. And between those indigenous rock and dreamy gimmicks in 6/8-time, such as the romantic "princess" or the mystical "Otherworld" is everything: music, Munich are thus remained faithful! Very good I also like how once again the acoustic instruments were integrated into the rock songs. A very good example here is the bagpipe melody over the rock guitar in "Second soul". Very beautiful are again the stories that are told in several pieces, even if they end up all unhappy and sad. The only exception is that the funny "mishap" that also ends unhappily. (And the moral of the story: alcohol and testosterone do not mix!) I especially like the songs as "bride", about the forbidden love of a king's son, and "Three Songs" about the revenge on a bully. Some songs also appear again mythical creatures on how to wear it "Sirens" and the rocking "Wolf Man", but there are here rather dubious Getalten. But the best has given me "warrior" like. This song is about the murder of Siegfried at Hagen. Even if the names are not mentioned, it is clear that this is to the well-known episode from the Nibelungenlied. With "Fiddlefolkpunk" is as usual also an instrumental piece on it that has a hint of Celtic fall quite quickly with tempo changes.
Overall, Schandmäuler keep their standard they have established with the last CD, even if the album more oriented to earlier works.
