So the film is worth seeing in any case. It is a beautiful story about a boy from a poor family, the aim for the stars. So much happiness as Santiago has throughout the film, you have to have first, but .. it is nunmal a movie. The story is told well and the characters are played, and well thought out. However, the film runs just off to the textbook of dramaturgy, which extremely bothers me. Had after the first 10 minutes to say what happens in the movie, you would have been correct to 98%. Of course, such a film does not require a stark plot twist, but still a bit of tension should be maintained. But you have to say that the scenes around the scheduled are well used! Although the film as a whole is too long. The story of Santiago Munez would have been nice also told in 90 minutes!
!! WARNING SPOILER !!
So as I said, it bothers me immensely that the dramaturgical 1x1 has been implemented so uncreative. The brief conflict with his girlfriend dies because of the prostitutes, his father and he is about to throw everything. His dream seems to come true, but he fails the trial. But gets a second chance. The arrogant hero comes on the scene and saves him entirely altruistic - it's all too clumsy to me. But as I said - in itself it is an entertaining film.
