The pure disappointment

Not least because of the very good reviews for AVM FRITZ! WLAN USB Stick, I micht for purchasing this product. You always hear, should be that the network products of AVM excellent and easy to use / install, and deliver what is expected of them. With these expectations in mind I have the FRITZ! WLAN Stick chosen with the transmission rate of 125MBit / s. The stick should be used as a "last resort", ie only for shorter time periods of 2-4 weeks when my PC is not in my apartment, where it connects otherwise via LAN to the Internet.

Regarding the installation of the device in Windows Vista, you can not wish better:

1. Stick in the USB port pure
2. Installing drivers
3. Done

In short: Who ever brought hardware to his computer and running, has also worked with the FRITZ! Stick no problems.

On the measures taken in the Product Reviews statements to link failures of sticks or a lack of wireless signal strengths I can connect me not. The connection was there always to 100% - both in terms of signal strength and constancy (and the router stood definitely not right next to the PC).

Despite the initial praise I can stick unfortunately assess with only one (very disappointing) Stern:

In all everyday use of the internet (browsing, video portals such as YouTube, etc.) without dealing with large amounts of data, the drive has unfortunately persevered only seven days.
When I turned the computer on the eighth day, the stick was no longer recognized. When passing Try the USB ports, which I first exacted the malfunction, a control LED illuminated on the stick every now and then (probably due to the power supply via the USB port). The key has been detected despite all attempts not even a connection could thus not be naturally produced.

I highly hope that it is the model purchased my stick is a Monday device. Nevertheless, I regret not buying much, because there are inexpensive and beautiful designed sticks that afford more than 125 Mbit / s and also still work perfectly.
