The quick release is a significant option!

The quick coupler is really convenient, you can remove and replace the camera tripod very easily and the remaining portion referred to my device doubles as a stand when I posed this prevents scratching of the camera! moreover it also avoid using metallic thread on the bottom.

it has a nice enough pro look and a hook on the underside that allows hang a weight and increase support from the tripod on the ground.
The only fault I find to him is that the pivoting of the axis are not 100% fluid and tend to jerk but I think a little bit of penetrating oil will do.
