Black Roses (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

The new album by The Rasmus "Black Roses". Now it's finally here, after three years of waiting and the four Finns have not lost any of its energy. Her songs exude paired with Lauri Ylönens unique voice and great guitar riffs with power and brilliant melodies.

1. Livin 'in a World Without You: A very catchy melody is paired here with strong electronic influences. There are also great lyrics and a very good song. 10/10 points

2. Ten Black Roses: This song comes up with an interesting intro and can skim all the points with a very beautiful melody and song division. A real great verse supported by Ylönens voice is here followed by a beautiful rock chorus. After a really successful Intermezzo. One of the best songs on the album. 10/10

3. Ghost of Love. A psychadelisches intro and then comes an ingenious riff. Properly managed. The verse is sentimental and the chorus energetic as once "Night After Night" only better. Ghost of Love is the best song on the album (so far) for me. 10/10

4. Justify: The second single from the album is a slow ballad, which comes a bit sluggish, but can compensate with good lyrics some weaker points in the stanza. The chorus is quite successful, even though it does not reach to the first three songs. Anyway, the song contains the line of text supporting the album: "I should go and find myself, before I go and ruin someone else.". 8/10

5. Your Forgiveness: Here is a very simple electronic barren intro hits a good Strope and also a good chorus, but as the "Justify" can not come close to the first songs of the album. But the song has good sound effects between Stropen and Prechorus has a good riff. After the second Refrian then comes a very cool guitar solo that rausholt some points again. However, only 7/10 points.

6. Run to You: Again a really good song by vonre to finish beautifully arranged and equipped with a very strong chorus, this song is a really good mix of ballads and rocking chorus. Again, the song contains a nice guitar solo and a really beautiful interlude after the second chorus. At the end also comes still a very beautiful chorus part. Here absolutely everything. 10/10

7. You Got It Wrong: This song is full of power and has a strong significance. A really strong rock song and betückt again with a great solo. 10/10

8. Lost and Lonely: This song has the best intro to the story of The Rasmus. Really very successful. Epic and dark. This is followed by great Stropen and a very strong chorus. Again a schönesd Intermezzo and simply successful sound effects. Here also stands the very long Outtro that has become really good. 10/10

9. The Fight: The fastest The Rasmus song of all time begins with an awesome drum solo and then shines with a brilliant verse. That's Rock in perfection. Even the chorus, which is mainly dominated by Ylönens song can convince again. After the second chorus of the song is short really hard and then comes an "enlightening" vocal passage on again follows the refrain. This is then again Outtro real Hard Rock. 10/10

10. Dangerous Child: This song has a rather mid-table stanza Part but at least one successful again and again refrain successful interline. Nevertheless: 7/10

11. Live Forever: Live Forever is the perfect end to the album. This soulful genius ballad the guys have done everything right. No better way to write a rock ballad barely. Lauri Ylönen, a great melody and a really sensitive text are one of the best ballads ever. 10/10

All in all, this album is a new direction. It has incorporated a bit more electronic influences and the songs not as rough as in "Hide From The Sun". However, it has again a very catchy melodies ingenious prudently and created a really great concept album that really can be measured by "Dead Letters". Conclusion: 10/10
