PRO
+ Easy installation. The registration key must only be entered when the NGX is selected in FSX for the first time.
+ The outdoor model is the hammer. It is in vain looking for pixels that windows are not painted on the texture, but are real, because you can look through through them.
+ The VC (virtual cockpit) is perfect. Really, each button has a function, can be click and is backed by a sound. The lights in the cockpit can be dimmed almost continuously with a rotary switch. Here you will find no dead pixels.
+ The engine sound is like music to the ears. There comes not a boring noise, but a real roar, if you have the TO / GA thrust inside. Even the reverse thrust sounds great.
+ The HUD (head-up display), it has probably never been so in an airliner for FSX. Clicking it can be folded down and you have to make the landing any more. The HUD is a transparent display, are projected on the important information such as speed, altitude, sink rate, price and so on, so that the pilot does not have to constantly look down to the instruments, but all the time the runway may have in mind. In addition, HUD is a vector in the form of a circle which is always located at the site where the plane was going to land, if it would continue to fly in the screened-ended position. Means: In the landing, the pilot simply trying to keep the vector in the landing area of the runway. This is useful especially in crosswinds.
+ The FMC / autopilot / other systems leave nothing to be desired. I particularly like that fueling, payload and other settings (eg callouts) can now be set in the FMC.
+ The NGX can be surprisingly easy manually fly. She is very versatile and is not as slow as some other airliners.
+ The complete umgestetzte cabin makes the Passenger Point realistic.
+ There is a Livery Manager that simplifies installing different liveries, and a Performance Manager, which enables one to switch the resolution of the textures in the cockpit on a low resolution in order to achieve better frame rates.
+ The little details make the NGX look even more realistic. For example, the exercise bike, in the man - has to turn quite a long time to get things changed on flying behavior - such as real. Or the delay that occurs if you want to extend the landing flaps. Be sure you should even look at the engine start from the outside. There comes no puff of smoke, and the thing is running at a time, no, because you see each blade in the engine, which rotates faster. Unbelievable.
+ A tutorial flight (German) helps tremendously entry. On about 90 pages a flight from London Gatwick to Amsterdam describes illustriet with many screenshots and explanations which facilitate understanding.
+ Whom the tutorial is not enough air, which are about 3000 (no, not too much 0) pages as a PDF file. There, all information is included for operation of the 737. Do you have to, but not necessarily do it!
CONTRA
- The FPS (frames per second) go to the basement when I fly with the NGX. To fly with the liquid 737, a good processor 4GB of memory is (recommend Intel's i5 / i7) and min. Required except to set the settings on texture mush. In FSX are detailed, realistic addons with a good Ablaufgeschwindkeit seemingly incompatible.
- The contents of the box is too little to me. The above tutorial flight is printed, otherwise contain nothing but the CD. For instructions on installing While there is a PDF file, but finally obtained only if the installation was successful. Also missing the 600/700 versions of the 737, which can be purchased for $ 25 in addition to PMDG's website currently.
- For beginners totally unsuitable.
Overall, I would recommend to anyone something / the FSX familiar with aviation, recommend to buy, but recommend that you make sure to first see Staring videos on the Internet to get an idea.
PMDG has set with this addon again new standards for realism in flight simulation, and I do not think any addon will provide NGX in the near future.
