I have connected a commercially available case fans to Poti. The fan twitched briefly .... that's it.
I then wrote to the supplier and subsequent response (below) received. It is, however, at no point, what the nice man writes (max 0.25 watts); also to the delivered goods can be seen no power rating. My commercial chassis fan is specified at 3.6 watts .....
I now have a quad controller for about 15 done, and is doing what he should.
