Today I want to propose a different treadmill:
The Home Run treadmill of Skandika
When I decided 2 years ago after years of abstinence sports something to do again for my body I was after my research on the internet but very surprised what had happened in the fitness world so everything.
Now I'm not the type of person who goes to do my daily sports program there in all weathers to fresh air.
I'm much more the "fair-weather sports type".
It was only natural that I wanted to grow some exercise equipment for my fitness program at home.
It started with an ergometer and ended via various detours in the fields of rowing, Xbox Kinect and exercise mat at the cross trainer.
These devices were to be used by me in honest regularity.
For some time, however, another had "Want to have" fixed sports equipment in my head: A treadmill should ago
The problem here was that was our sports room now already Trecht well stocked and was no longer enough room for such a bulky device.
Unfortunately treadmills are not exactly small, but require quite a bit of floor space.
After some searching on the internet I was able to find: I came across a treadmill company Skandika.
The Home Run treadmill looked not only very different from the normal treadmills but scored with me immediately with its atractive Dimensions:
For it was only 122 x 56.3 x 31.5 cm tall and was also folded to my delight on verstaufreundliche dimensions of 27 x 56 x 113 cm.
My interest was piqued.
The company Skandika was so generous and gave me the Home Run treadmill as tester available, what at this point I again would like to thank.
The treadmill was then also supplied very fixed and the test could begin.
The setup was very easy: Unpack, open, ready.
No screwing together complicated and difficult to understand due to piece together assembly instructions, here is the Home Run treadmill scored before vigorously.
Likewise, the power cord is unlike some other sports equipment that I know with 1.90m adequate.
Since it was obvious.
My first Faszit:
Wow! Small but nice.
Red, High-gloss piano finish and built small made it a very elegant yet robust.
Now you have to know: The Skandika Home Run is not just a treadmill. When folded, it can also serve as a bench or sideboard and through the glossy surface looks this out not bad. So if you have little space to integrate the treadmill after sport wonderfully folded in his Wohnraun.
We now come only once the technical details:
Measurements: Time, speed, distance, and calories, heart rate
Engine power 10 km / h (6 mph) at 1.25 hp (peak)
Treadmill: elastomer Steamed
Tread: 37 x 98 cm
Hand pulse sensors: yes
Quickstart: yes
Not stop out (Safety Key)
Fine adjustment of floor space: yes
Dimensions: 122 x 56.3 x 31.5 cm
Folded: 27 x 56 x 113 cm

Maximum user weight: 120 kg
The Home Run treadmill has an electronic display which I think is completely self-explanatory and can be operated without the hassle of a rolling instructions.
It is equipped with a non-slip surface on which Easy Ipad, MP3 player or the like can be stored. Even at a recess for beverage bottles was intended.
Instead of the side handles, which is otherwise known from other treadmills, located on the front side at the Home Run treadmill at the desk a recess for the hands.
On display, the following values are displayed and stored:
Time, speed, distance, calories and heart rate
After the fashion confirm button, the individual values in sequence alternately displayed so that you always have an overview of the current values.
It only requires pressing the Start button and the fun can begin to start.
First, the program counts down a Contdown to 0, then the treadmill begins to start.
The treadmill has a total of 11 speed levels that can be set in half steps.
The display is easy to operate even during running without unnecessary contortions.
The heart rate is measured by hand pulse sensors which are located at the intervention of the palms.
The speed levels increase not so abruptly but be per stage really only increases softly.
Level 1 to 3 are well suited for running normals to brisk walking pace.
From level 3.5 then you have to put a little more to the wheel and at level 4.5 you fall into a light Jogingschritt which is then increased to properly stage 6 so that you finally really needs to do to keep up.
I always start at level 3 with gentle trot and increasing intervals up to level 6 so that I always come at the end of 40 to 60 minutes of exercise time.
The volume of the treadmill here really adheres astonishingly limited: between the 1st and 6th level is hardly an increase to hear what makes Another small plus for me.
The treadmill runs very quietly and smoothly and the tread is non-slip.
My Conclusion:
I was the Home Run treadmill very pleasantly surprised and in its functionality more than convinced.
The Home Run treadmill of Skandika is ideal for everyday use for normal athletes and also for the sport in between (eg in the office / workplace) ideal.
By space-saving dimensions when folded, it can also be very well in smaller spaces integrate without causing a stir.
So if a small treadmill investigated which can cope with the daily stresses of being well served with Skandika Home Run treadmill.
