The soft side of Ms. Lauper.

Totally relaxed and balanced comes with Cyndi THE BODY ACOUSTIC around the corner. Ms. Lauper presented some of their greatest hits in completely altered sound robe. Yes it is very acoustic and dignified to on this album. Cyndi seem here to focus on the essentials: the wonderful tunes of their hits and of course her sensational voice. And that shines here in a soulful beauty, full of strength and yet quiet and gentle. That emotional singing Cyndi strength radiates so much about a whole album length, wow, I would not have given her credit for that. And so she packed up and proved that they really dominated almost every music genre me again.

Hits like Time After Time SHE BOP or get a whole new intensity. The melodies are simply seasoned with minimalist acoustic guitar sounds and get a soulful tranquility that simply enchanted. Some reinterpreted to Cyndi has brought prominent support, as well as in ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT, which gets by Shaggy reggae-like traits, although the resilient and lightweight sound to perfectly fit into the Country Corner. Even the beloved of my SISTERS OF AVALON gets a new soundscape missed and heard in loose guitar sound. And so Cyndi grabbed some of their lesser-known hits on this disc.

Also SHINE and WATERS EDGE, which here appeared his time just as EP, while the accompanying album was not released in Europe get here as reinterpreting a worthy place. SHINE enchanted by a casual piano and drums sound which leaves plenty of room for the powerful voice of Ms. Lauper. With extra strings created a beautiful Country anthem. WATERS EDGE is with the support of Sarah McLachlan for dreamy piano ballad and exudes an uncommon peace and beauty. Speaking in beauty, let me now times to my absolute highlight on this record. What is Cyndi conjures here TRUE COLORS really very great emotional cinema. With minimal guitar and strings use the focus sits on her voice. And that sounds really beautiful and perfect. Also two previously unreleased songs on this disc gives us Cyndi. This is probably because, as I find the original almost perfectly. Here the massive in the music was simply wegreduziert, although there remain the beautiful melody and a quiet guitar sound, but has the power of the song lost almost entirely.

An outlier in the barometer has again GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN. As a groovy and fun summer anthem with a loose brass sound as reinforcement Cyndi gets at the end again a real- highlight. The loose and rhythmic reggae, the sounds bubbly and sexy creates the high-contrast but perfect conclusion to a successful drive.
