Their styles are very different, the room is a pioneer of synthetic and computers, and Howard still very much on a purely orchestral. So how cooperation would look?
Just like Batman is the movie at the beginning of his journey, the music is not fully developed, which is reflected particularly in the action passages that present themselves in a very controlled and from which one can imagine that even comes an increase.
The action parts are kept small but all the more impressive, they look organic and with more life than in the 2 successors "The Dark Knight" "The Dark Knight Rises"
Clean the sound design of this album is great, rooms and Howard have here made a unique sound world to do with orchestral support of electronic bass and synth sounds. The whole album follows a harmonious sound and no track is negative on.
The largest share in the album take a rather quiet tracks such as Eptesicus where presents the love theme. A wonderfully delicate melody of strings played with discreet support. Later this theme is also sung with piano and sounds so wonderful. It reflects very well the suffering of Bruce Wayne back, but also hope.
Unfortunately, there are also giving much filler here to 5 stars (to), but it is a total of really good beginning of Batman's journey and the most sensitive of 3 albums.
