The south wind imaginary mill

"Letters from my mill" (first edition dating from 1869) by Alphonse Daudet (1840-1897) is a collection to the smell, the atmosphere, magic and sometimes sadness of Provence of the nineteenth century (and today); although it is said that Alphonse Daudet did not write them in his mill (closer to the legend).

I remember this author discovered during my French vat where the text was to review one of the new "The Legend of the man with the golden brain" (new and very metaphorical quite dark enough to make a beautiful essay ), but I also recommend reading the very joyful news "The Poet Mistral" which tells a happy afternoon in the south, along the famous poet Frédéric Mistral.

The letters (new) are sometimes moralizing, sad, melancholy, happy or funny; and it does not tire to reread an occasionally.
