I tried it. With Birkel No. 1 Spaghetti with 'normal' durum wheat semolina spaghetti.
I've even tried with a whole pound and filled the water up to the lower edge.
"That never works!" "The Spaghetti paperboard together and make a great pasta lumps" "Never ever they are al dente and edible!" So were my thoughts. I did a little experimenting and am with my microwave (900 watts, turntable)
come on 17 minutes. Then those damn spaghetti are actually absolutely great in this damn wicked plastic kettle! Lid on it and poured and finished.
Meanwhile, I'm doing my spaghetti only in this part. It is super convenient, very fast and you have to flush any large pot and no sieve mainly.
An absolute buy recommendation - for the price anyway!
