" Enough said, I will simply add that the sound recording is perfect, the orchestra of the Opera confirms what is known about him when it feels concerned by a project - which is the case here - it is simply one of the best in the world. Chung often means leader, is completely transcended (transcendent) when directing the Messiaen. It is also noteworthy that this final version reflects alterations made by the composer to his work. Finally the booklet is particularly exciting because the blurb is signed Olivier Messiaen himself where he engages in an analysis of both highly detailed and very accessible to his work. This recording is therefore absolutely essential to all viewpoints.
