We can say at the outset that the story is unfortunately very banal: the mutilated and slaughtered sheep. The culprit is quickly found: the wolf.
But this will not be so simple, because his next victim is a woman. What can he be okay? The wolf, as is well known, does not attack humans.
In this novel where this is Camille (Little Darling) who is in the center, not everything goes as planned, and it is lead by the nose to the end. Adamsberg comes at a point in history where paths cross and he will help with his legendary flegmme at any disentangle and to find the culprit.
In short, a very successful novel, and so far the best of Vargas I had the opportunity to read.
