The album is incomparable, unique, solitary. Calling it the best record of the 80 years, would be nonsense in that it can not be put on a par with others. It finally discussed nobody if the Beatles were better than Beethoven.
To describe the music, needless: Check out the cover on! A tuba, double bass, timpani, a Hammond and sometimes a barrel organ. And: a xylophone, which impresses all its inescapable stamp next to the Waits'schen croak and bark.
