With just under 43 minutes, the album is not just wasteful but just about ok The cover artwork something "strange": reminds me most of Predator vs. Predator ... ??? On the "plus side" we find finally wonderfully oppressive low-tuned riffs like the old days, just the first 3 tracks go forward powerfully. Only from Track NO. 4 it is quiet, but also beautiful reminiscence of her ingenious albeit Schwergeburt- album "Issues". Track no. 7 (Never never) could have really spared, a superfluous mass of compatible lighter Pivoting DumDum chorus / melody-Gassenhauer à la Limp Bizkit and his associates.
Track no. 8 is well again powerfully ahead and leaves the previous total failure quickly forgotten, sounds like old times, quoted (bzw.kopiert ...) but earlier melodic / harmonic progressions some one on one ...
Here we come to the "Non-have-side" of the album: it shows the album in almost any track that has been deliberately avoided here on experiments, the riffing and vocal processing are predictable, new aspects have not been used, the ingenuity and (albeit partly laboriously forced) spontaneity of the first 4-5 albums is far from being reached, the album sounds unfortunately relatively rapidly .... A total but still an enjoyable impressive turnaround in KORN but nothing new, new for someone KORN Meet will recommend rather continue their previous albums, for someone like me of all previous albums but GRAIN calls his own a must for CD rack.
Conclusion: good 3.7 star power, rounded 4, but my favorite album of KORN it is definitely not!
