After all singers carousel Augeri and Soto, we did not really know what one could expect from the men! I was very skeptical after the rather mixed album "Generations"! But what belongs to us here an absolute masterpiece and the band sounded in recent years is not as fresh as on this album. Except for "Faith in the Heartland" there are new songs and "After All These Years" is a hammer ballad represent so only Journey can write. ... And the new singer Arnel Pineda fits and gives the band new enthusiasm and vigor. It sounds like the young "Steve Perry" but just something fresh! On the second CD is a "Best of" with pieces that Arnel Pineda has re-sung! And when you hear that ... I think he simply dominated every Journey song !!! For me it is the AOR masterpiece 2008 (what is there really to come !!!!?)
On 14/06/2008 I'll see Journey live and that will probably be the highlight! Until then, the album will run up and down!
