+ There are 16 preset melodies (from the delicate ringing to Big Ben). The sounds come across clearly and not sound too tinny.
+ The ringer volume can be adjusted.
+ Both transmitter (3 V coin cell battery is included) and the receiver (3 x AA battery or battery not included) work with battery, thus eliminating any wiring. However, the receiver can also be a 5 volt power supply (not included) can be connected. I use AA batteries.
+ It is a German operating manual, which is not always the case today.
+/- Bit disturbing I find the brand logo on the front doorbell.
+/- There is not enough space for a Namenschildchen under the clear part at the bell
But now comes the real highlight of this doorbell, the ultimate selling point for me. One can namely via USB own MP3 ringtones on an SD card (not included, but there are already cheap to buy) load, and select by a small switch on the receiver if you want to play Standard tones or add a personal ringtone.
The resulting applications are versatile. This could, for example, in a doctor's office. take place the next patient call, or anywhere else where there are people waiting.
The main application is for me but HALLOWEEN, because I have been looking for an easy way our young visitors to scare a little at the front door before they leave with the candy. We are real Halloween freaks. There are graves, animal dummies and other sorts of creepy stuff to discover with us. And now our house is another attraction. In the bushes next to the house is the recipient, and if the kids then press the doorbell comes with about 2-3 seconds delay my text from the doorbell. Since the kids do not expect it because the door is still yes to the is always a magnificent outcry.
So the absolute hit is the MP3 function
+ Custom ringtones can be stored on an SD card.
+ The doorbell can also be used as an MP3 speaker (but please do not expect too much for you, it's still a doorbell)
+ On the front panel of the bell can play / pause, track forward / track back and adjust volume.
+/- In continuous operation as a music player the batteries become depleted after a few hours, I would recommend using a power supply or at least batteries.
As already said no AA batteries and an SD card are included. Without SD card, the MP3 function can not be used.
I'm looking over my MP3 Doorbell.
In the video, see and hear the way first a standard Gong and after switching one of my Halloween Greetings (which is then played out of the bush).
