One could describe the style of this album produced by Todd Rundgren late psychedelic. The Steve Hillage's guitar phrasing remains very bluesy and gives the album a punchy side.
The recovery Donovan Hurdy Gurdy Man, is very good, as well as its airy suite, Hurdy Gurdy Glissando, the ethereal tones of Electric Ladyland. The other recovery (a real little hand, it Steve!) Is the It's All Too Much George Harrison, better than the Beatles release.
Electrick Gypsies, with its intro alphorn Tibet by Don Cherry resembles Hendrix lost on the planet Gong.
Om Nama Shivaya is a small candy Indo-crossed with beautiful guitar chorus (with chorus and full pedal echo chamber). Lunar Musick Suite was recorded exclusively during the full moon and offers beautiful sounds of Strat trafficked by Todd Magus (great trumpet Davisian also, again by Don Cherry).
For me, the best album of Steve Hillage, but honestly I know nothing!
