Have after extensive research several KH Beyerdynamic compared, DT-990 Pro (250 ohms), DT 990 Edition (32 Ohm), DT 880 Edition (250) and the T90 (250 ohms). The KH were tested both on an integrated amplifier, as well as on a KH-amplifier. I have found little differences, both sound images were very similar, but the integrated amplifier I can lift as needed something the depths. The 990 Pro is really cheap, was in sound but quite pushy, some would possibly perceive him as "aggressive" for Rock + Pop etc but not bad (especially at this price 180 !!!). The DT-990 Edition is similar, but more balanced in tone, makes very nice space with an orchestral recording from. Den now has my son. He has 32 ohm resistor, you can even operate it on the phone, it sounds naturally not quite as zippy as on an amplifier, or KH amplifier. The DT 880 Edition was not quite so well-liked that is too neutral. But he is very "analytical", do you mean, you can hear every detail, but in the deep bass range, it was a little too weak, and voices, middle frequencies too little temperament, compared to the DT990. The T90 is but then again quite a bit better: clearer highs, still very good deep foundation, it appears in front of the orchestra to sit (but that's a matter of taste, some like to have a little more distance ...). With such a SpitzenKH then but also the rest of the system must be qualitatively very well, because otherwise you even hear the smallest Rauscher and Brummer. I have a lot of fun with it. Processing seems to me to be very good at all 3 tested KH, the upholstery and everything else there to purchse. My old DT-990 PRO has held for over 30 years!
