I have a flash with ETTL sought who has enough power and with whom I can also manually adjust my settings quickly and easily.
However, it I did not want to spend the money for an original Canon.
Processing
The processing of the MB58 AF-2 is super. When swiveling the flash snaps cleanly and not creaks on the housing or has too large gaps. The covers for the battery compartment or USB port make a robust impression.
The locking wheel looks a bit cheap, but the foot is made of metal and it there is nothing to complain about.
Service
I am glad that the Metz does not have a touchscreen. Mir is the operation via buttons still prefers.
That was also very simple and you will find yourself quickly without manual handle.
The display can be read not very good at extreme sun, but that I can handle.
In ETTL I ask so little or so, but I also quite often manually Flashed, I am happy with the simple adjustment of the performance. More than +, - and push it does not need in manual mode as well.
The software can be quickly and easily obtained from the website of Metz. In the download folder then is also a well-described instructions. There I had no problems and the Metz is at least with the 70D 100% compatible.
Power
Furthermore, I can not say much, except that it was far enough and that brings what I expect from a flash with guide number 58. The smaller external flash is quite nice, but for me was not a buying criterion.
Because I've noticed not really negative and I am very satisfied with price / performance I can give the Metz only five stars)
