BUT:
Those who put off the game here with a bad review, one should not forget:
I am convinced that many potential Dark Souls players be put off by the bad Average and thus miss one of the greatest gaming experience ever. With a few minutes of patience you get known the graphic problem under control (which is really simple). To add a controller to get probably not around, but believe me: it's worth it!
Dark Souls I've played extensively on the PS3. To collect all the trophies, I've played until the end of NG ++, so in principle three times completely. In the first round it is impossible to get all the weapons, spells, miracles, etc..
It has never become boring or frustrating. Challenging, yes, but never really unfair. The Alpha and Omega is timing. When Dark Souls plays awhile, you pretty much know how which opponents Type happening, by which impact could be followed by a combo, etc. So you can learn at the right time to block, parry or evade, thereby to divide the stamina so, that you can strike even decently after counterattack. So who is trained, can certainly beat at the beginning opponents who are actually intended for a much later date and thus get quite early useful items.
On the PC I have ever used directly to master key and knocked the "mighty" Havel with my level 10 warrior. Naturally takes a while because you have to dodge every blow (with a goal one is flat), but it works. Then I got laid buttoned NEN black knight. There's nothing like the feeling of defeat a much stronger opponent with pure skill;)
And that's what distinguishes Dark Souls from. Clear is also the Sammelwahn not too short, because there are many unique weapons and armor that you also can have a nice pimp, but basically it comes down to the players. That's exactly what I missed in Diablo3 example. I have indeed played ad nauseum, but I felt at some point a bit on your nerves, that it depends primarily on the equipment and the playful totally takes a back seat. "Oooooh horny, I'm now 78,000 dps instead of 76,000 because I've saved two weeks on an even crazier crossbow")
Dark Souls is from the numerous games that I have been gambled (I'm almost thirty, because so few come together for the Amiga and the PS1 ^^) One game that just will not lose its charm for me. Honestly, I wanted to resist and let the Dark Souls addiction behind me the PC version ... it worked exactly one day, then I ordered it anyway. I am so excited about the new content that it is not in the least what makes me three more times to scour the entire game, if you must. On the DLC for the PS3 I do not want to just wait. All the friends I've hooked with Dark Souls, are equally enthusiastic. Especially since you can go out together so well, that's just great. The last time I played Kingdoms of Amalur, certainly a good game, but I can not at all express in words how much more motivating Dark Souls is. The entry is really hard, you have a little pure Peeve, because the game does not take a hands on, especially much itself must be found. For example, there is no map. Even better is the feeling when you eventually even the domestic large area and knows by heart. The missing card can be an initially cautious and at the same time increases the tension on the first pass.
Conclusion:
Do not be impressed by the first few hours. It feels at first getting used to, until the controller is passed into the blood, and you understand how this game is ticking. It seems not to be at the beginning to master without biting constantly on the grass. But at least after the first major weapons finds and successes, it packs easily each. Eventually you die only rarely, because one learns not to rush like a madman blindly in any area, but respects that every corner death may be lurking. No matter how good you are and how well you know the neighborhoods. In many passages it simple is always exciting, alone already by the atmosphere of the game and because you can always be challenged in human form by other players at least. There are many magnificent and varied bosses, weapons, armor, spells, forge opportunities and so on.
At the end everyone must know himself whether he wants to do without it on principle.
From me there's certainly a strong buy recommendation!
