I bought this as a replacement for my espresso maker Bialetti espresso maker aluminum. I hoped from the stainless steel, that this will can be cleaned better and would prepare an equally good espresso. Unfortunately, I realized that the quality of the prepared espresso unfortunately not able to keep up with the original aluminum coffee percolator. The main disadvantage is the temperature at which the espresso is prepared. By stainless steel design, the upper part of boiler, in which the espresso flows, not enough so that the ready-Espresso is too cold heated. Espresso, which is exellent in the original design is made of aluminum, lukewarm and therefore only conditionally fit for human consumption!
My conclusion: If prefer the cheaper original aluminum, because the taste of the espresso ought to be the focus!
