My requirements are actually very simple:
2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, network cable, printer and occasionally even a phone / USB stick.
It is regrettable that the dock the computer will not boot, but that is due to the concept of USB 3.0 docks the case. Would have been avoidable, however, the "design". While it looks beautiful on the table, and processing a quality image, but the focus is so high and the dead weight so low that in every little touch (by example. Insert a USB flash drive) to overturn.
In addition, it is not really working with my (also manufactured by Lenovo) Thinkpad Edge S430 (for SME business). I can not rule out that the laptop is the problem, but I'd bet more on a driver issue with the dock.
Every few minutes, tears down the connection to the monitors, keyboard, mouse, alternating. I then removed as many devices as possible, so I run only 2 monitors, mouse and keyboard. To make it work so la la.
If nine hours day at the office, it may drop from 10 times.
Whoever thinks that this is a clear hardware defect: Trying times the Google search. Someone also a video on YouTube has set as the connection breaks off the monitor. It seems in general to give some errors in the DisplayLink technology. Anyone who reads something previously should quickly realize that there are many problems.
I for one suspect that the data to be transmitted for a USB 3.0 port, if necessary, are just too much, or can not be processed correctly. Know for sure I do not do it though.
Anyway, I would advise everyone to consider carefully whether they actually need the dock. If necessary, you should resort to a version that has a firmer stand or just tap on a laptop with decent docking port - which I happen to have 4 days ago ordered - so that spook finally over!
Connections offers the dock to meet these requirements adequately.
