Victoria Hislop became in a few books, a writer to fashion and jattendais lot of his "last dance" but may feel a bit alone in the midst of a chorus of praise; javoue have been disappointed by this novel that uses very large strings to be born emotion.

First of them it was Sonia, unhappy English woman who rediscovers and flourishes with a trip to Andalusia. She will meet a wonderful storyteller who will make him discover the bloody Spanish history (the arrival to power of Franco) and immerses the reader in the dark years of the Civil War through the destiny of a family of Granada.

The story is beautiful and well documented but the establishment of the narrative is laborious and there are too lengths for lon can savor it completely. The end of the novel gains in intensity but the outcome, as lon press well before the last pages of the novel, is sewn with white thread and didnt expected the effect of surprise.
