now I have arrived in this fourth part of the Layton so that I have a direct comparison to the other 3 games (village, Pandora and future). Currently I have about 3 hours. played, so am still (long) not.
this game seems to me quite long-winded, the texts are far too many and too long, but the puzzles are less (puzzles that per unit time, for example, per hour. place). In total, there are supposed to be 170 pieces.
and the quality of the puzzles convinced me even more so: some are just plain "stupid" (any cats found in the image - with a figure like the white mouse in the middle looks like it should be a cat anyway, or the riddle with the! dolls I found also stupid), some too easy.
The story is also not the hit ... the other I found exciting (it).
bad, I also think that we now partly Note 3 coins per scene takes place and that is s tip really for dummies. and the first tip (for a hint coin) is not always the hit that has not improved much since the other versions.
I must honestly say that the first games of this series have been more fun, perhaps the expectation of the fourth game is just too big. perhaps the manufacturer the good puzzles and assumed riddles - I have the impression that it is worth to ground (170 pieces), than on class (quality of the puzzles) more. is just my personal opinion.
At the moment it does not look like I'm playing the game to end: as gripping and exciting as the other games in this series, I think it is not by far! the other three, I had almost swallowed up, that's more of a phantom play what I play out of boredom ...
I think the fifth version I will not define me, because I expect no significant improvement and fun.
