The HAF XB is in addition to the other cases that I have from Cooler Master, an absolute gem with well thought facilities for cooling a computer precious inner life. Following in bullet points the pros and cons that I have noticed so far:
Pro ...
+ Rubber feet
+ Down to the floor panel and back panel, everything is dismantled
+ On the ground floor of the housing are the power adapter and all drives
+ Supply of the power supply by one, with a fluff filter (you can call it so?) Installed, holes in the housing base
+ Handles in the side panels
+ For easy mounting of the floor for the motherboard is removable
+ Complete set is painted black
+ To all kinds of places you can find eyelets for clean installation of all cables with cable ties
+ 2 front slots for Hot-swap 3.5 '' drives
+ To my surprise (I had not exactly pay attention to the dimensions of the housing) fits it of width exactly hi-fi components or fit into a hi-fi rack (but is it better or worse 3-4 normal hi-fi equipment high).
+ As usual from other Coolermaster packages, screwless installation of 5.25 '' and 3.5 '' drives (front)
+ Placeholder - perhaps I remember at some point something on
Contra ...
- The side panels have Large-gauge air intakes, probably not meant for fans otherwise appropriate holes would probably available
- The internal drive cage in the back of the "Erdgeschosss" unfortunately only accepts 2.5-inch drives on, I personally would be 3.5 inches with adapter frame for 2.5 '' have preferred, but I knew what I was getting myself. Place for a 3.5 '' drive cage would be enough available.
- The board which sits the connection between hot-swappable drive and SATA cables to the motherboard is installed not too rigid, thus stretching the board is possible as soon as the drive's connections do not meet one hundred percent upon insertion of the drives - so for people who much their drives change almost unsuitable - Remedy: sidewall to keep the clean Slide the drive hand against the board (nhalterung).
- Placeholder - perhaps I remember at some point something on
All in all, I personally like the casing pretty well, it is as always well made at Cooler Master and looks chic and offers a lot of space and cooling potential for a little monster in him locked away. A sample configuration I can not provide here currently, as I am currently undecided which motherboard / processor / graphics combo to go in this case to work.
Hope I could help you as far as a little ...
