Have two copies in SLI and installed it with the EVGA High Flow Bracket (the flashback has larger vents) tuned,
so that the heat is rapidly transferred to the outside (= less heat and less volume).
Unfortunately, EVGA is not the cheapest brand, but you get the best support one can get, with its headquarters in Munich.
Have often telephoned as times and the people are very nice and helpful and have a clue what they are talking.
If a card really should even have a problem, then you have only to Munich (or Netherlands) and not send to China / Taiwan or elsewhere. The case will be processed quickly and accommodating.
EVGA also has a huge fan base (own forum) and offer class tools such as EVGA Precision X and EVGA OC Scanner X
Overall, I now (had) 10 cards from EVGA owned and this brand would always give preference.
The current debate whether to today not required 3GB VRAM, I can only say:
Does not make you crazy! Nvidia has a very good memory management and are to make fast memory free space for new data.
The 2GB VRAM are easily sufficient for all game Erreien (for SLI)!
Conclusion:
was the GTX580 a significantly better development of the GTX480 Nvidia's GTX680 in all succeeded:
Low Power Consumption (Idle & Load), lower volume - with significantly more performance!
