Top Graphics Suite

The "CorelDraw Graphics Suite" is a complete solution for ambitious graphic user; it includes in addition to the main program for vector graphics and "Corel Photo-Paint" (pixel graphics as JPG, BMP, etc.), "Corel Connect" (to search for digital content), "Corel Website Creator" (Web sites), "Corel Capture" ( Screenshots) "Bitstream Font Navigator" (font manager), "Corel PhotoZoom Pro 3" (magnification of digital images) and "Corel Concept Share" (cooperation / exchange with colleagues and clients).

The installation took on a current system (Core i5, 8GB RAM, Win 7 64bit) about 15 minutes and was relatively easy (apart from a couple of strange messages, but you can ignore) by. There are separate 32bit (x86) and 64-bit versions of the programs. The "Corel Website Creator" can be downloaded only after the mandatory registration with Corel (223 MB). After installing, the "CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7 Update 2" (200 MB) is available. Interestingly, reports the search for updates on "Help - updates", there are no updates available, while the "Update 2" directly in Corel account ("Support - Patches and Updates") is listed ...

At the operation and stability compared to the previous version (X6) was clearly worked: While crashes still occur from time to time, but really rare (in my case about 1x every 1-2 weeks). Compared to similar Adobe products that also are in strict significantly more expensive, the use of Corel programs is equally simple, but unfortunately it lacks some options and tools. So not supported as the RAW image import from Photo-Paint all current camera models. Luckily my Nikon D90 is a bit dated ...

CONCLUSION: Comprehensive graphics suite with good service and very good value for money!
