This mainboard fulfilled in my case, as far as all claims, except for one: stability:
I have a board equipped with an i7 2600K and 2x4 GB Corsair SSD and a 600 (6Gb). The performance is wonderful, at least under "load". Every now and then I got blue screens but ironically precisely when the system is "doing nothing" had. The board has been operated with default settings and errors of RAM were excluded by software testing, operating system was virginal and placed it off to conserve power.
Whether only one part is affected by motherboards, you do not know exactly, but the www find quite a few fellow sufferers with the same problem. Allegedly, it is up to the BIOS by default enabled for power management options, the men's overclock the CPU and switch off some individual cores. Simultaneously, the voltage is adjusted entsprechnend, so it especially during load changes (from power saving in load) In addition, the voltage is not adjusted quickly enough and there is a blue screen. It may also be, that is the second way that the C3 / C6 stages with SSD's (I have a Samsung 830 installed) cause problems or those druch not wake up the energy-saving steps again or be not seen by the system. I have the C3 / C6 Stages off in my bios and so far the system is stable. Capitalized C3 / C6 stages to thwart Aussderdem in some systems, the SSD's. I could not watch with me.
Conclusion: Overall, the motherboard in terms of equipment and features is expected to be absolutely top! However, I expect from an Asus board that stable running "out-of-the-box", because that's why users buy this brand. However, I also appreciate the support of Asus and hope or expect that Asus will promptly resolve with a BIOS update the problem, so that no more users get problems. Not everyone has time, nerves and knowledge to go on troubleshooting. Therefore, I now forgive 5 star, minus 2 stars for the lack of stability, which is very important in my eyes. So to sum it remain 3 stars, provided an update fixes the problem, I adjust to 5 star.
Why not exchange the board or umsteige to another manufacturer? I suspect this is not a specific board failure, but rather a production error and hope it can be resolved with a bios update. When I read what problems occur anderne boards (not only with C-Stages), the Asus board is for me still the first choice.
As already mentioned, the problem does not occur with any board, but if your board has similar symptoms, then you at least know where the fault is. :)
