Top music gelungenem Remake

The soundtrack for the remake of the film 'Footloose', who came to German cinemas on 20.10.2011, was pretty torn at amazon.com. I see this differently, because the four songs that were heard in 1984 already in the original (Footloose, Let's Hear It For The Boy, Holding Out For A Hero and Almost Paradise) are - with one exception - almost 1: 1 been recorded again, naturally of other artists; thus the offered respect has been paid to the original. Only 'Holding Out For A Hero' - originally by Bonnie Tyler - was entirely produced differently and now comes as todtraurige Country ballad therefore, but absolutely convinced and its effect in the corresponding scene also fully plays out. This title is also the highlight of the album for me. The rest is quite country-heavy, but fits perfectly in the context of the film, because the songs perfectly match the environment of the small American town in the Midwest, in which verschlägt Ren MacCormic. With the images of a cotton factory, a title like 'Walkin' Blues corresponds' of CeLoo Green better than eg 'Dancing In The Sheets' from the original soundtrack.

Conclusion: A good album, but the only really fun if you also know the film to.
