Top technology! Battery flop!

Shipping was, Amazon typically, super fast! Saturday night ordered Wednesday afternoon arrived!

When she arrived I had with me skeptical that this little thing can really deliver what it promises!
And yes, they can!

When I got the camera, I made the first a firmware update.
I had the update manually, however, carry out as my browser just a "32-bit browser" and does not support the automatic update function. But the fix was easy to carry out and worked right away without any problems!

Now for the recordings. Various shots I made. 1080p 60fps; 720p 120fps; 720p 60fps with photo every 60 seconds.
Am more than satisfied with each mode! Especially the 120fps at 720p are awesome!
Jerky even at 720p 60fps, at higher speeds> 150 km / h and nothing!

Had the camera even when water skiing here and indeed on my chest.
Underwater, and recordings where persistent water splashes on the camera are terrific and there remain no water droplets before / on the lens back, everything bubbled wonderful from.

Although it is not made for it, I have also made some photos with the GoPro.
And the 12MP images speak for themselves! Razor sharp !! In Tag photos with moving objects, at night, moving objects are slightly blurred, but the camera's not made for photos! ;)
Have two landscape photos uploaded to the quality of photos to demonstrate!

One reason has also given me a little stomach ache, was the battery.
I'm endurance athletes and have sometimes training rides and races that can last up to 2 hours.
Have tried rauszuholen from the battery everything, but more than 1 hour and 20 minutes, at 720p 60fps + photo every 60 seconds, I could not take. This is a shame and that is why it is of me only 4 out of 5 stars. Clearly one needs in technology and quality to cut back, but I think it's still a shame that the battery long holds so little and if you have more than 1: needs 20h recording time you have to still buy a second or maybe even third battery to but the not cost the earth.

A friend of mine bought the camera and also has complained that his camera "freezes" and thus it is not a myth. I can not understand this until now and am glad to have bought about a tadelos functional GoPro!

What I recommend to a memory card of at least 32GB, for a 10 minute video - 720p 120fps - has approximately 5 GB.

All in all I am - very pleased and regret my purchase not at all - except for the battery.

Edit (01/09/2013): the GoPro have now for several months, it is I have never been frozen or otherwise.
Initially had filmed only on 720p 60fps, because the graphics chip of my netbook has not given away and was initially quite happy with sharpness, brightness and contrast and the color spectrum.
But when I got an iMac (27 "), I have taken to 1080p 60fps. The difference is huge! You would not mind how much this, but when you start to cut and edit videos will be
critical as regards the "raw material".

2.7k 30fps are also extremely good shots, but by half of FPS not as nice and clear as to watch Full HD for example.
Underwater photographs I have even more tested. In a swimming pool, where the pool is about 25m long, you can see the video almost're the end of the basin.
Did the plan had also in the sea and had to find that the GoPro almost 3m visibility (Mediterranean, Lignano, calm water) in the sea.
Color quality, sharpness, brightness and contrast, except in the sea, as well as on land.

This is me at the water skiing, the top speed of about 150 km / h.
the video was filmed with 1080p 60fps, but by the limit of max 100mb I had the video to 720p down scale.
Color quality, contrast and sharpness, in my opinion, pretty awesome for such a little thing !!
The video has been filmed from my chest out.
I ask the brief Underwater not strictly be considered, because the river on which I rode here was the Danube, 2 weeks after flooding, hence the water was still very cloudy!
in a clear pool / sea which looks quite different!

Edit (12/18/2013): I noticed that the quality of the video on Amazon is not convincing and therefore have uploaded a video on YouTube. Beg the video to 1080p regarded as the quality by yourself
unlike 720p clearly again will be better!
