- Very compact
- Great sound (for the small device)
- Super Design
- Without cable music really anywhere
- Without unnecessary "frills" such as alarm clocks or other additional shenanigans (the iPhone can anyway everything yourself)
Of course I have also seen the reviews on the device me before buying and can not confirm the following points:
1. shutdown after 15 minutes - For me, the S315i runs when playing Internet radio in battery mode without any problems (now just heard already about 1.5 hours). Lt. Logitech support page there was probably this regard problems with the first generation of devices, but that is now resolved obvious.
2. The iPhone does not fit with shell on the dock - my iPhone 3GS can be easily set up with protective sheath (Incipio Feather or SwitchEasy Nude with my husband) and sits securely on. Could only imagine that there might be similar with super thick leather cases Could be problems.
3. The public-quiet keys are arranged uncomfortable - The arrangement of sound-quiet keys I find simply brilliant: No stupid buttons interfere with its clean front view of the speaker and you'll find the two buttons "blindly" by simply top right so to the device uses, as if to hold it.
What I also liked a lot:
- The iPhone is beautifully supported in the back, since it rests on the station (this is especially a small "rubber ridge" attached, so that a "naked" yes iphone can not get a scratch)
- The speaker is super safe
- The "Einklappfunktion" is great, you can carry the speakers prima (without iPhone application!)
- An additional handle (as by some desired) would interfere with the optics completely and also the speaker for a "carry with attached iphone" is also not designed what I personally very much welcome
What I miss:
- A remote control and a transportation protective cover would have been the absolute icing on the cake
About what I had to laugh:
In the enclosed "Safety, Regulatory and Warranty" one reads in the "instructions for disposing of used batteries," but in fact:
... This unit uses a nickel metal hydride battery, which should keep the normal operation for the duration of the warranty period ...
Then it is explained that the battery can not be replaced by the user. Further down you find then, however, the removal instructions to dispose of the battery.
