I have read the reviews available on the article with interest, and the negative. Since most of the negative reviews were a few days old, I thought the problems described therein with parting welds are already out of date. A WMF brand has surely turned off so a striking weakness. Unfortunately, this was a mistake !!! My wife used the actually very robust and solid-looking WMF garlic press for the first time and what can I say, the press is broken already after the first use. Just the spot weld described has come loose. Luckily the complaint at Amazon's fairly straightforward, thoughtful equal prompted the return and ordered the product from another manufacturer. WMF pity, so you can make a mark also broken.
