As Lawrence Arms fan and Sundowner disciples of the first hour I could not expect the release date.
My joy was but beginning already tarnished, because I persecuted the pre-releases of which were brought to the man in demo and partly in Preview form.
I kept saying to myself: "Wait on the album ... First impressions can be deceiving!" - Think again. Sorry!
In that case, I must say, Sundowner have played their souls with this album into meaningless musical nirvana. A pity ...
Although Chris (singer) himself declared to have so much autobiographical content and passion rarely put into texts, comes with me unfortunately except for the first number "Cemetery West" relatively little on.
That's my impression after the first listen ... Maybe too negative, because this year the new albums by bands firecrackers were anyway disappointing compared to the old school works.
But whoever loves the Sundowner sound so, will not be happy with the plate.
Of course, may and bands should always evolve and live creatively, but you can see if the process of creativity in the running tracks, just after two albums Hammer, let fizzle much expectation in the room.
A bad album, it is all in all still does not ... but rather Chris, there's more? !!
